Rodrigo ~ 2021 bay Lusitano Gelding
Out of Xiqua sired by Notorio de Halconero he is full blood Lusitano.
Rodrigo has a very rare & unique pedigree. Both of his maternal grandparents where imported from the prestigious Interagro ranch in Bazil, who today are the world’s largest breeder of Luzitanos. In Brazil, Interagro Lusitanos are carefully bred from selected lineage. With the import of valuable stallions and mares, this stud farm preserves pure the main lines of the breed.
He’s had all his ground work, been introduced to a saddle, loads in a trailer & lifts his feet.
He has had a ton of handling, so is very personable and easily to handle.
With all the ‘people-ization’ he has had he is primed to start with the saddle level when he is old enough!
On his sire, his grand sire "Halconero" is ( 98% Veiga blood lines ) to quote from the "Lusitano Heritage" site; "Veiga horses are known to be very brave, sensitive, agile, and quick, better suited for bullfighting, which they were originally bred for. These horses also compete in Dressage and Working Equitation, at international level." )
Halconero is still sound and siring foals at the "Jaz Ranch" in Utah at 30 years old. After excelling in the "Bull Fighting" arena, before he came to the U.S., he did dressage, and grand pix jumping in the states. Tremendous versatility and longevity.
